It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hmmm, I guess Green didn't spark anyone's imagination... Let's try a new Monthly Challenge!

Timeline: April 1 - April 30

Challenge Prompt: Spring! (Spring is in the air!)

Challenge rules

1)  You have from now to 11:59pm EST on April 30 to get your entries in.  Entries get submitted to the Monthly Challenges folder in the gallery.

2)  Submissions must be inspired by the prompt (Spring in this case)

3)  Submissions must be a new creation for the challenge, not an old deviation.

4)  Submissions don't just have to be fanart!  You can write fanfics, take a photo, make cute little figurines, cosplay, whatever your heart desires!  As long as it's allowed by DA, of course!  And you can include OCs as well!
